Welcome to the Ipswich Thistle Pipe Band |
Ipswich Thistle Pipe Band is one of Australia's oldest pipe bands, formed in 1909. In recent times the band has made a name for itself as a group of professional and passionate people, resulting in invitations to perform in New Zealand, France and Moscow. The band also successfully produces "The Ipswich International Tattoo".
Ipswich Thistle Pipe Band in conjunction with the Ipswich City Council and the Ipswich Events Corporation presented the 5th annual Ipswich International Tattoo - A Celtic Journey. Alasdair Hutton "the voice of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo" was the special guest of the 2008 Ipswich International Tattoo. Watch a clip from the Ipswich International Tattoo - A Celtic Journey DVD.
